The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed about the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme sassa status check [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The assistance issue created for intervention encounters a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
